Denim Blù

Denim Blù is an emerging Toronto-based singer-songwriter whose identity and music reflect the cultural mosaic that makes Toronto's music universal-appealing.

The Chinese-born queer artist’s inspiration is borne out of rebellion of being Chinese and the stigma of making pop music, being gay, and emoting sex. Denim’s music training and influence spans three continents having studied and lived in China, the UK, and most recently in Toronto.

«Burn» is the title of his first single available on all music streaming platforms. The single’s production draws from Charlie Puth and is described by Denim as «an admission of messing up in a relationship and coming to terms that something great is gone».

His debut album «Blue» will be released during Summer 2021. To Blù, the album is «a dizzying array of contemporary songs that draw from pop, R&B, blues, and electronica. It captures youthful love, volatile love, and queer love». He adds, «I have poured my heart and soul into creating something by and for queer people with an universal appeal».

«Blue» is a pure pop fantasy with emotional intrigue and diverse music influence, all while being unapologetically queer. Denim Blù’s music promises new-age pop with a story to tell.

Denim Blù’s «Burn» are one of the challengers to the LGBTQ Music Chart this week, if you want it on LGBTQ Music Chart – you need to vote here.
