Singer-songwriter, record producer and dancer, Giora, after his two woozy, quirky 2020 debut singles «Where the Flowers Grow» and «Sorry», has just dropped a striking new video for his latest electronica-infused,, and title track from recent EP, «Safe In The Dark».

Working in collaboration with London-based director and multi-disciplinary artist, Nick Finegan, the video showcases Giora’s passion for performance art, movement and storytelling.

«Safe In The Dark» is an anthemic ballad with intertwining synthesiser work, upholding a cinematic vision. As Giora describes «It’s about coming to terms with the uncertainty that life presents. I realised that with self-love, hope and a deep sense of who I am, I am able to overcome the toughest situations and remain grounded, no matter what happens next. It is also the first time I introduced chanting into my production, inspired by my Israeli heritage», Giora explains.

A powerful and malleable collection of songs, produced and mixed entirely by Giora himself. The EP: a well-working blend of modern pop elements and classic songwriting, ultimately gives birth to an almost timeless product, capable of appealing to a wide number of listeners. Lyrically, it places itself into the artist’s personal experience, as a journey of healing.

Borrowing from a wide range of sonic and cultural influences, while striking a balance with poignant and skilled songwriting, Giora creates immersive, dreamy, and introspective journeys into his world. Drawing on raw nature, a peaceful vision for the future, and an open heart to share the lessons and experiences that continue to shape him, Giora proves that it’s never too late to chase your dreams.
