Melancholic - Ruben

The Norwegian people have voted Ruben's «Lay By Me» as last year's best song.

While the rest of the Spellemann (Norway’s equivalent to Brit Awards) winners are selected by juries, the Norwegian people can join in and vote for the winner of «Song of The Year» for 2019.

On Saturday night, tv show, hosts Christine Dancke and Tarjei Strøm announced on NRK1 that artist Ruben won the award for last year’s best song, with «Lay By Me».

Ruben beats artist colleagues such as Arif, Kygo and Sigrid in the fight for the trophy, Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet reports.

At the moment Ruben has two songs on the LGBTQ Music Chart – «So High» and «Heading Home» – you can vote on them here.
