The Belmont Ensemble and Trafalgar Sinfonia will be presenting performances of Vivaldi's masterpiece the «Four Seasons» by candlelight at Freemasons’ Hall.

The concerts will take place on 28 August and 6 November, with performances at 5pm and 7:30pm and will include musical gems by Bach, Handel and Pachelbel.

The Grand Temple at Freemasons’ Hall, in the heart of Covent Garden, will host the combined group of some of London’s finest musicians.

While enjoying the concert, the audience will be able to experience the splendour of the Grand Temple, including the majestic organ with its ornate pipes as well as the stunning mosaics that surround the ceiling. Built in the center of the splendid art deco Freemasons’ Hall, which was designed as a pentagon to suit the irregular space in which it is located, the Grand Temple is rich with multi-coloured details of blue, gold and white.

The concerts will each last one hour and will be held under Stage 3 Covid-safe conditions, in line with current government regulations. Tickets are available online at feverup.com/m/92671 and will also be available on the door from one hour before each concert.

Dr David Staples, chief executive of the United Grand Lodge of England, commented: «Vivaldi was one of the foremost composers of his time. It is an honour to welcome the Belmont Ensemble and Trafalgar Sinfonia to perform with us as we open up our iconic building and the magnificent spaces within to more and more public events. The return of concerts like this brings a hope of better times to the hearts of the British people. We hope the concert will bring world-class music and a little normality to the many people feeling isolated and lonely, whilst also giving the audience an opportunity to take in some of the stunning architecture of our headquarters here in London».
