The moody club track serves as Jack’s second single, following funk track «None Tonight», from his upcoming third album «Gold». The new track are available on all streaming services on.
«This is probably my most ‘current’ sounding track», Jack explains his departure from his usual ventures into timeless and retro sounds. «It’s certainly a vibe». The song’s lyrics are an exploration of the deep well of loneliness and insecurity that can sit at the core of gay men. «You search for salvation out on the floor, might find validation but always need more». Jack sings in «Tired of Being Lonely», imploring the listener to seek deeper emotional connections. «We all make our own heaven».
The video was filmed earlier this month, juxtaposing scenes of Jack in a vibrant infinity room with a disturbing hall of mannequins. The video has a brooding feel, hitting a crescendo halfway where Jack’s army of dancers arrive to perform impressively intricate choreography. Jack again pairs with frequent collaborator Joseph Patrick Conroy of Amerikana Media as his trusted cinematographer but reveals an entirely new video style for him. «I didn’t want a story, I didn’t want to tell a narrative like we did in None Tonight. I wanted to go very abstract, just riding the mood of the song».
