Gay MusicBexx new single «Stupid»

bexx is an extremely promising newcomer to the UK pop industry. Her varied, ecstatic alt-pop sound is unapologetically influenced by 80s synth-pop, pop-punk, vintage rock, and current musicians such as Rina Sawayama and Lady Gaga.

Bexx utilises her songs to carve out space for listeners to feel accepted and hopeful even in their darkest moments, drawing inspiration from topics such as gay relationships, body image, mental health, and her favorite romcoms.

Her new tune «Stupid» is about missing someone who clearly doesn’t miss you and being mad about it. The tune shimmers with colourful synths and features lively, playful lyrics, exuberant melodies, and an explosive pace. Bexx sings, «Hate your stupid eyes in the morning light, your stupid mouth when you kiss me right, how your voice notes made me feel like home, I feel kind of stupid waking up alone», influenced by Fickle Friends, Valley, and Carly Rae Jepsen.

«Stupid» is off her upcoming EP, «Sucker», which is a collection of songs in which the songwriter admits to being a dating idiot. These are all anti-love songs, attempting to provide catharsis for anyone caught up in the nightmare that is dating.

bexx has headlined Nottinghamshire Pride and toured with Fickle Friends and Deco, as well as being featured in Wonderland, Earmilk, and Rolling Stone. Bexx in 2021-22 was all about experimenting and developing her own style; bexx in 2023 is fully cooked and ready to take over the world. With her debut EP scheduled in the first half of 2023, bexx is swiftly approaching an exciting future that you will want to be a part of.
