Gåte has been chosen to represent Norway in Eurovision, but the odds of them winning for Norway are very low!

KEiiNO won the European jury vote with 98 points, but Norwegian viewers chose Gåte, which was not popular in Europe. If anyone is able to sing along to this song, I will be impressed!

Gåte, the winner of Melodi Grand Prix, is prohibited from using thousand-year-old lyrics and must therefore compose entirely new lyrics for their song to the final held tonight.

The channel states (NRK) that the music competition is for original music. Therefore, Gåte must present his entry with a newly written text in the final on tonight, VG Norwegian newspaper reports. Why the first version was approved, the news story do not say – but it seems like Gåte has got special treatment by NRK! No other artists needed to rewrite their lyrics and got that kind of special treatment by NRK!

KEiiNO is at the top of the LGBTQ Music Chart for the third consecutive week!
