West Pride announces competition for this year’s Pride anthem
The winning entry in the competition, organised for the third time, will become West Pride's official pride song in 2024.
The winning entry in the competition, organised for the third time, will become West Pride's official pride song in 2024.
In Gothenburg on 26 May. presented West Pride, Teeo as the artist behind West Pride's official Pride song. With his song «I Adore Me», Teeo takes us on a journey of love and strength, while highlighting the challenges LGBTQI+ people face in today's society. The song has been written by Teeo together with the artist Mariette.
The winning entry will be West Pride's official pride anthem song and will be chosen by a jury consisting of Karin Gunnarsson, Melodifestivalen's competition producer, Ronny Larsson, QX magazine's editor-in-chief, artist and songwriter Fredrik Kempe and Anders Olsson, producer for West Pride's stage program.
Julia Alfrida will perform with «Coming Out» during West Pride in Eriksbergshallen, Gothenburg on both 17th and 18th June and the song premiered on Spotify and Apple Music last Friday (27 May 2022).
When Sebastian Walldén won the Swedish Idol back in 2018, he was the first openly gay person that has won Idol in Sweden.
