This summer it will be «Raining Men» and other hits from the legendary Weather Girls on the big stage in Pride Park, hallelujah!
No one can have escaped the monster hit from the mid-80s when two neon-dressed women danced with trained men in open trench coats. Now the group lives on with the help of the original member Izora Armstead‘s daughter Dynelle Rhodes who takes on the inheritance from her mother since Izora passed away in 2004. With her she has a beautiful boy Dorrey Lin Lyles who has also been active in the group in previous years. The booking was a matter of course for stage producer Gunn Lundemo.
«I played after them on the big stage at Vienna Pride in 2018. At one time knew that I wanted to book them in any context in the future, now came the perfect opportunity, their show is amazing».
The Weather Girls will mix their own hits with other icons through artist history, The Supreems, Aretha Fraklin and many more, it will be a soulful, swinging evening in the Pride Park on the Saturday 3 August 2019.
The festival runs July 29 to August 3, week band (all days) costs 600 SEK full price and 450 SEK reduced price (Students / Youth (18 to 26 year olds) / Youth (15 to 17 year olds) / Over 65+ years old) and you purchases it at tickster.se
